Kick Start

If you do something consistently for 21 days with determination, there is a very good probability that things will the habit has gained momentum and will continue to happen. Unless, there is a conscious resistance from you to decelerate the momentum.

It has been 5 days. Today is day 6. Monday , 16th Feb 2015, I realized that soccer is every bit as fitness oriented game as they claim it to be. After a day full of practice, games and panting for breath, things were better the next day. Here's hoping to keeping it alive for 21 days.

Now on to things I wish to do once I hit 20+

1. Maintain a weekly dress code for entire month. I'm thinking formals with suit jackets, watch, cardigans. I'd like to get creative with wardrobe. One thing I should have done the last time I was there.

2. Keep switching activities between badminton, soccer, gym every week.

Today's the day

I once read somewhere - A week later, you'll wish you had started today. This has proven to be true in my case time and again. This is the story of how I lost nearly 40 kgs of weight, gained back 30 and am trying to lose again. Never did I dream I would lose 40kgs to begin with, but I did. And then, never did I dream that I'd gain back 30 this fast, but I did. From this experience, I would like to go back to what ever I did to lose the weight I initially lost. I'm counting on my experience so far to not let me take the simple things that come with good health for granted.

There were things that I always wished I could do. I did accomplish some of those and lost it by taking them for granted. Things like :
1. Doing a couple of pull ups
2. Running 5 km's without losing breath
3. Touching head to knee
Now they're gone. Just like that. And it makes me sad.

I begin today. And for all future endeavors, "Today" is always the day to start working in the direction of that endeavor.
